- Our Partners
We work in partnership with a number of local charities, clubs and centres who provide services to those in Stockport, Didsbury and the surrounding areas.
Stroke Information
Stroke Information and Right at Home work together to raise the awareness of Stroke Survivors. Whilst it is almost impossible to prevent a stroke from happening, we work together to provide guidance for Stroke Survivors on essential services they can access to aid recovery. Stroke Information can signpost you or a loved one to other people who have survived a stroke and to local groups that can assist in your recovery. Find out more about Stroke Information here.
Walthew House
Walthew House is an independent charity in Stockport that provides practical and emotional support to people who are Blind, Visually Impaired, Deaf, Hard of Hearing or who have Dual Sensory Loss. Walthew House were kind enough to help train a number of Right at Home Stockport and Didsbury carers to deal with sensor loss in our Clients. We were afforded a rare opportunity to experience how a deaf or blind person might navigate very simple tasks. If you need help with a family member that lives with a sensory loss, Walthew House can be a starting point to signpost you to other essential service or to access practical aids in the home.
Signpost for Carers
Signpost for Carers are an independent local charity who have been supporting carers for more than 30 years. If you are a Stockport carer or caring for somebody living in Stockport, they are here for you. Signpost for Carers are based at The Heaton’s Centre, in Heaton Moor and are always looking to provide assistance to anyone who is caring for another person. Find out more about Signpost for Carers.
The Weekend Day Centre
The Weekend Day Centre provides an informal weekend and bank holiday care facility for people with a formal diagnosis of dementia and their carers within the Stockport borough, including Marple. Right at Home Stockport and Didsbury have helped the day centre by raising money by completing a charity bike ride which provided additional interactive activities for the Clients. If you require much needed respite when caring for loved one who is living with dementia, The Weekend Day Care Centre can help.
