Paws, people and plenty of smiles!
We had such a lovely time at Liberham Lodge’s Dog Show 2026, and what a fantastic day it turned out to be! It was wonderful to see so many people coming together to enjoy a day full of fun, laughter and community spirit.
With over 12 dogs taking part in the course, there was plenty of excitement throughout the event. Our four-legged competitors certainly kept everyone entertained, bringing energy, personality and lots of wagging tails along the way. A huge well done to everyone who took part – every dog and owner helped make the day such a success.

The benefit of animals
One of the most special parts of the day was seeing residents from the care home joined by their families, alongside members of the local community. It was so lovely to watch people spending time together, catching up and enjoying each other’s company. There were cuddles and conversations everywhere you looked, creating smiles all round and a warm atmosphere that everyone could enjoy.
Dogs have such a special way of bringing people together. Their companionship and affection can have a hugely positive impact on wellbeing, particularly for mental health. They create moments of comfort, happiness and connection, and throughout the day it was wonderful to see the joy they brought to residents, visitors and staff alike.

Events like these remind us how important community is and how simple moments can make such a big difference. Enjoying some fresh air, sharing a few laughs and spending time with both familiar and new faces made the day one to remember.
