Right at Home Proud to Support Milner House’s Community Roast Initiative

At Right at Home, we are passionate about supporting initiatives that bring people together and make a real difference in the local community. That’s why we were delighted to support Milner House, a care home in Leatherhead, with their wonderful new community initiative.

Once a month, on a Wednesday, Milner House opens its doors to the elderly and wider community by offering a free roast dinner. This thoughtful initiative is about so much more than a delicious meal – it’s designed to combat loneliness, encourage social connection, and create a welcoming space where people can come together, chat, and enjoy each other’s company. 

Loneliness can affect people of all ages, but it can be particularly challenging for older adults. Initiatives like this play an important role in strengthening community bonds and reminding people that they are valued, supported, and not alone.

We were thrilled to attend and be part of such a lovely day. Our clients and staff absolutely loved it – from the warm welcome to the fantastic food and friendly atmosphere. It was heart-warming to see so many people enjoying conversation, laughter, and a shared meal around the table.
