Sharing Experiences and Supporting One Another

With a lovely spread of food and drinks to enjoy, guests settled in for a talk by Tim Haigh, exploring dementia and the support available to those living with the condition and the people close to them. The relaxed atmosphere gave everyone space to listen, ask questions and gain a deeper understanding.

One of the most valuable parts of the evening was hearing people share their lived experiences of dementia. Guests spoke openly about the difficulties they had faced, offering a personal perspective on what it can mean to live with dementia or support someone who does.

Thank You to Our Hosts

These conversations also gave people the chance to exchange strategies they had found helpful. Hearing from others with similar experiences created a sense of connection and understanding, alongside the information shared during Tim’s talk.

For families and friends, having a welcoming place to discuss concerns can mean a great deal. The evening offered an opportunity to have those conversations, learn from one another and explore the support available.

A heartfelt thank you to Monika and Joanna for inviting us and allowing us to be part of such a wonderful evening. Their hospitality helped create an atmosphere where people felt comfortable coming together around a subject that touches so many lives.

“Thank you to Esher Manor Care Home for organising such as wonderful evening. Dementia is such an important topic of conversation, which means a lot to me personally, so I appreciate the opportunity to speak about it further with those in our community. I hope everyone had a lovely evening and I look forward to the next time. ”

Thank you, too, to everyone who joined us and shared their experiences. It was a pleasure to spend the evening with the Esher Manor community and be part of such thoughtful, open conversations about dementia.
