Community Collaboration in Action

At Right at Home, we know that supporting older people and their families is strongest when organisations work together. That is why it was a pleasure to attend the recent KT22 Older Person Services meeting, bringing together key individuals and organisations dedicated to supporting people across the local community.

The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces and meet others who share the same commitment to improving the lives of local residents. It was particularly encouraging to spend time with representatives from Mole Valley Life, the Fairfield Centre, Men's Shed, Age UK, the Surrey Coalition of Disabled People, along with many other organisations making a meaningful difference in the KT22 area.

Looking Back, Moving Forward Together

One of the most positive aspects of the meeting was reflecting on the progress that has been made over the past few months. From developing new initiatives and strengthening existing services to increasing awareness of the support available locally, it was clear that a great deal has been achieved through collaboration and shared purpose.

Equally important was the opportunity to look ahead. Discussions focused on plans for the coming months, identifying ways we can continue to work alongside one another to ensure that people know where to turn for advice, companionship, practical support, and specialist services when they need them most.

There was a real sense of partnership in the room. By sharing updates, experiences, and ideas, we explored how each organisation can complement the work of others, helping to create a more connected network of support for older people, individuals living with disabilities, carers, and their families.

"I was such a pleasure to be invited to attend this meeting. It was lovely to see some familiar faces and meet new ones. Everyone in the room had such fantastic ideas for the future and discussed how we can further benefit the community - KT22 watch out!”

At Right at Home, we are proud to be part of conversations like these. Community partnerships play an essential role in helping people remain independent, engaged, and supported within the places they call home. No single organisation can meet every need on its own, but together we can make a lasting impact.

We would like to thank everyone involved in organising and attending the KT22 Older Person Services meeting. We look forward to continuing to build these relationships, supporting one another, and working collaboratively to strengthen our community in the months ahead.

Because when communities come together, everyone benefits.
