Working for a values based company

A firm that is values-based looks to employ individuals who share its values and actively practice them through the job they perform every day. Selecting an organisation whose principles coincide with your own will help you: function more effectively as a team; forge deeper bonds with co-workers; boost productivity; and feel more devoted to the firm, all of which will lead to higher career success and job satisfaction. You can determine whether you and the firm will get along by looking at how they incorporate these values into their daily operations.

The Right at Home values

The core of all we do is centred around our four extremely distinctive values.  Let's examine the meaning of our values in further detail and see how they influence all we do:

  • Quality
  • Compassion
  • Respect
  • Trust

Quality

There are several things to take into account in order to provide an exceptional service and guarantee the best possible outcome. For instance, quality has a major role in determining whether you'd like to go back to a restaurant or the stores. For this reason, quality is the foundation of all we do at Right at Home.

Our goal is to enhance the lives of our clients and their families and we ensure that providing high-quality treatment is the foundation of our business. We aim to provide the highest quality support and foster genuine relationships with our clients by offering minimum one-hour visits. We also welcome feedback from clients and family members, sharing best practices to constantly enhance the quality of care provided wherever possible. Finally, we strictly adhere to regulations and follow policies, allowing us to demonstrate exceptional quality care.

How does quality impact our employees?
  • Training: We provide industry-leading training at every level and for every role
  • Rewards and recognition: We recognise top quality work and reward it for those who go the extra mile to deliver quality care.
  • Ongoing support:  We ensure all our employees have thorough, consistent and ongoing support both in the office and in the field. This allows them to continue to improve in confidence and therefore performance in their role.
  • Equipping staff: We ensure you are equipped with everything you need to do your job to the highest standards e.g Personal Protective Equipment, E-learning app to learn on the go, more training where needed

Compassion

This value is high on the agenda for someone who is very understanding when it comes to other people's feelings and for people who sympathise with others if perhaps they are having a tough time. This attribute is highly valued by those who have a great capacity for empathy and who can relate to others when they may be going through a difficult period in their lives.

Compassion is an important value in a workplace because …

  • It encourages communication not only between employers and employees but also between employees and clients.
  • It reduces stress and anxiety at work.
  • It builds stronger, more cooperative relationships at work.
  • It helps team members better understand what their clients or coworkers are going through, which enables them to perform their jobs more successfully.
At Right at Home we show compassion to our staff members because we:
  • Listen to staff: We value employees’ opinions and feelings and take these into consideration
  • Respect staff members’ work-life balance: Ensuring we provide shift patterns that fit around their personal commitments
  • Cover shifts: When someone has a family emergency, the team jump in to help out

Respect

Respect is a fundamental value to you, just like it is to us, if you're the sort of person who cares deeply about treating people with compassion and kindness.

An employer who values respect will ensure that:

  • Employees feel appreciated for their accomplishments, skills, and attributes.
  • Fair and equal working environments are created.
  • A positive workplace attitude is promoted.
  • Colleagues should be led to be more engaged and motivated, which will improve performance.
  • Colleagues should feel safe and secure in their jobs, which will reduce workplace stress.
How do we demonstrate respect towards our staff?
  • Encourage staff to be themselves: LGBTQ+ support, we celebrate diversity
  • We value your time and workload: We make sure to not give you too much work that it becomes stressful for you and only give you a manageable workload
  • Respect employee career goals: Career progression, new skills, specialisms
  • We Listen: We value the feedback of our team

Trust

For Right at Home, building trust is a two-way process and is necessary for any productive collaboration. As an employer, we fulfil our commitment to provide our staff with the resources and instruction necessary to perform their tasks well. As a result, we have faith in staff members to maintain our high standards and to provide us with honest feedback so we can continue to enhance the services we provide.

Having trust in any working relationship is incredibly important because it facilitates cooperative work environments, and enables people to have the authority to make moral decisions that impact coworkers and clients. Trust boosts employee morale and motivation, which increases performance in roles, and allows employees to feel more appreciate, and therefore happier.

Why do our employees feel trusted by us?
  • We trust them to represent our brand
  • We trust them to deliver the highest quality care to our Clients
  • We trust them to give us honest feedback
