In the welcoming setting of St. Faith's Church in Havant, a special dementia-friendly Christmas carol service unfolded, organised by Right at Home.

The service, led by Canon Tom Kinnear and Right at Home’s Sarah Talbot, was a simple yet powerful testament to the importance music and singing has on those living with dementia.

St. Faith's Church, with its historical charm, provided the ideal backdrop for the event. Attendees gathered to share in the holiday spirit, as classic hymns and well-loved Christmas songs, created an atmosphere of warmth and togetherness.

Canon Tom Kinnear, displayed his musical talents at the piano, and set the tone for an afternoon of reflection. His genuine passion for music and the community shone through, providing a pleasant experience for all.

Sarah’s leadership of the choir brought a sense of inclusivity to the event, making it an accessible and enjoyable experience for everyone, especially those living with dementia.

This Christmas Carol Service was not about grand gestures but about creating a space for people to come together. Families, CareGivers, and individuals facing the complexities of dementia found solace in the simplicity of shared music.

Right at Home's dedication to supporting those living with dementia in the community was evident, leaving a positive mark on the community and emphasising the true essence of Christmas – unity and understanding.
