Singing Brings Joy to Dementia Information Day
Right at Home’s Singing for the Mind Choir was delighted to take part in Havant Borough Council’s fourth annual Dementia Information Day on 10 July.
The event brought together people living with dementia, their carers and local organisations for a day of information, activities and connection. Our choir helped create a joyful atmosphere with a selection of much-loved songs that had everyone joining in.

A day of information, activity and connection
Havant Borough Council’s Dementia Information Day is an opportunity for people living with dementia and their carers to come together, discover local support and take part in activities designed to promote wellbeing and connection.
The drop-in event included a programme of talks, workshops, movement and exercise sessions, giving visitors the chance to find out more about the support available locally while enjoying time together in a welcoming environment.
One of the highlights of the day was a performance from Right at Home’s Singing for the Mind Choir. The choir brought plenty of energy and enthusiasm to the event, with the room soon joining in with familiar favourites including Que Sera Sera, Amazing Grace, Downtown and Sweet Caroline.

We were delighted to be part of such a positive community event and to share the enjoyment of singing with everyone who attended.
