Introducing Angela!

At Right at Home South Cheshire, we are very proud to have a team filled with passionate and experienced professionals who go above and beyond for our clients and staff. One of those incredible people is our Registered Nurse, Angela Selby.
Angela qualified as a Registered Nurse in 1982 and went on to complete her ENB N11 qualification at Salford University. Since then she has built a remarkable career through a range of hospital, community and nursing settings, regardless of where she is, she always guides her way through her commitment to providing the very best standards of care.
After many years of working in the district nursing service and later in nursing homes, Angela moved from Kendal to Cheshire to be nearer to family. (Did we mention Angela is very roud to be the mother of our very own Managing Director, Ben Selby!). She was considering retirement when the pandemic began, but when a nursing home she had previously worked at in Kendal needed help during these difficult times, Angela didn’t hesitate to return and support wherever she can, a true reflection of her passion, and still to this day helps out whenever she is needed.
How does Angela Support Our Right at Home Team?
She’s been involved in live-in care, as well as in training and supporting our Care Professionals to deliver more advanced care confidently and safely. This includes:
- Care and maintenance of PEG feeding tubes
- Catheter care, including suprapubic catheters
- Advanced medication delivery, such as Buccolam and suppository administration
Angela says what she enjoys most about her role is supporting and empowering our team, helping them gain the skills and confidence to deliver complex care to the highest standards.
Her wealth of experience, calm approach, and dedication to person-centred care make Angela an invaluable part of our team, and we’re so grateful for everything she brings to Right at Home South Cheshire.
