Role at Right at Home GF – Care Coordinator for Alton and Bordon

When did you join? – September 2021

How would you describe your role? – My main purpose is to allocate caregivers to clients so that clients get the care they are expecting on the right day and time.

I’m based in the office at Bordon so I also answer the phone, deal with new enquiries when required and manage out of pocket expenses which arise when caregivers shop for clients.

As a former caregiver, I do new client assessments and field supervision too. Field supervision involves carrying out random checks on caregivers to ensure we meet the highest care standards.

Are you full time or part time? – I am full time.

What did you do before joining Right at Home? I was a care coordinator and administrator for another home care company. I applied for the job at Right at Home because it is close to where I live which is ideal when juggling the demands of my teenage family!

What do you enjoy most about your job? I love care. I’ve worked as a careworker for years and years. I like the challenge of this role and how I can still get out and see clients on occasion.

What do you want to achieve at Right at Home GF? I would to be able to help make the business grow and for us to take on new staff who we can train to deliver the high standards of care that we expect at Right at Home.

What would you say to somebody thinking about applying for a job at Right at Home?

I would say that you are never going to have a job that is so rewarding. Every day something good happens and just knowing you are helping people is a good feeling.

Being relatively new, I can genuinely say that Right at home is completely different to other companies I have worked for. It is well run, and everybody is treated on the same level. When something needs to be done, everybody mucks in to do what is needed and this makes such a difference. Everybody is a team player at Right at Home.
