Bringing Chair Yoga to EHRS: A Morning of Movement, Mindfulness and Connection

We were delighted to recently host a Chair Yoga session at the Edgware & Hendon Reform Synagogue (EHRS). It was a truly uplifting morning, filled with gentle movement, deep breathing, and a shared sense of calm and community.

Led by the wonderful Kala Karia, our session was designed to be inclusive and accessible for all, combining seated yoga poses, light stretches, and mindfulness techniques to support flexibility, circulation, and relaxation. Whether participants were complete beginners or had experience with yoga, the session offered something for everyone.

We’re incredibly grateful to Val, Shirley and the EHRS team for welcoming us so warmly once again. Their ongoing support and dedication to the wellbeing of their community truly shines through, and it’s always a pleasure to collaborate with such a thoughtful and engaged group.

A big thank you also to everyone who joined us—we loved seeing so many smiles, shared laughs, and peaceful moments throughout the morning.

At Right at Home Barnet & Edgware, we’re passionate about promoting physical and emotional wellbeing in later life, and sessions like this remind us just how powerful a little movement and connection can be.

We look forward to visiting again soon!
