At Right at Home East Lancashire & Ribble Valley, learning doesn't stop after induction. New carers work towards the nationally recognised Care Certificate, developing the knowledge, behaviours, and practical skills needed to provide safe, compassionate, and person-centred care.
Training combines classroom learning with hands-on practical experience in our recently refurbished training room, where carers can build confidence using specialist equipment before supporting clients in their own homes. New team members also benefit from shadowing experienced colleagues, helping them gain valuable insight into delivering high-quality care.
Throughout their career, our carers continue to develop through regular refresher training, specialist courses, competency assessments, supervisions, and observations. From dementia care and medication competency to moving and handling, safeguarding, first aid, and end of life care, ongoing learning ensures our team remains up to date with current best practice.
