Time for a Cuppa – Bringing Our Community Together for Dementia UK
Supporting Dementia UK Through Community and Care
Published: 05/06/2026
This morning, we were delighted to host our Time for a Cuppa coffee morning at Right at Home East Lancashire, in support of Dementia UK.
The event brought together our dedicated team of carers alongside members of the local community, all united for an important cause. It was wonderful to see so many familiar and new faces come through the door, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere filled with conversation, connection, and plenty of smiles.
Guests enjoyed a selection of delicious homemade cakes and refreshments, generously baked and donated by our team and supporters. The effort and thoughtfulness that went into each contribution truly made the morning special, and everything was very well received.
Thanks to the kindness and generosity of everyone who attended, we are proud to share that we raised a total of £86.71. Every penny will go towards supporting the vital work carried out by Dementia UK, helping individuals and families navigate the challenges of dementia with specialist advice and support.
At Right at Home East Lancashire, supporting people living with dementia is at the heart of what we do. We are proud to provide high-quality, person-centred care across Blackburn, Hyndburn, and the Ribble Valley, helping individuals remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes.
We understand that every dementia journey is unique. Our compassionate Carers take the time to build meaningful relationships, getting to know each person’s routines, preferences, and life story. This allows us to deliver tailored support that promotes dignity, reduces anxiety, and enhances overall wellbeing. From companionship visits to more specialist dementia care, we are here not only for our clients but also for their families, offering reassurance and ongoing support.
Events like Time for a Cuppa are a reminder of the power of community. By coming together, even for a simple coffee morning, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by dementia.
If you were unable to attend but would still like to contribute, donations can be made directly via the Dementia UK website.
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended, donated, and supported this event. Your generosity and community spirit are truly appreciated.
