Bravery, Compassion, and a 15,000ft Drop: Chloe’s Skydive for Rowans Hospice
At Right at Home Portsmouth, we’re proud to work with people who bring their caring nature not only to our clients, but to the wider community too. One shining example of this is our very own Chloe, who recently completed an adrenaline-fuelled challenge for a cause close to her heart: Rowans Hospice.
On May 10th, Chloe and her dad Billy quite literally took the plunge, leaping from a plane at 15,000 feet to raise vital funds for the local hospice. With a 60-second freefall and a breathtaking five-minute parachute descent, the father-daughter duo threw themselves into the sky, all in support of those facing life-limiting illnesses.
What started as a modest goal of raising £500 quickly soared as Chloe and Billy’s courage and dedication captured the hearts of friends, family, and the local community. They ended up raising over 371% of their original target, making a huge impact for Rowans Hospice and those they care for.
Rowans Hospice provides round-the-clock, specialist palliative care for people in South East Hampshire, supporting not only patients but also their loved ones. Their compassionate work helps improve quality of life by easing physical symptoms and offering emotional, spiritual, and social support. Despite their essential role in the community, Rowans receives very limited Government funding, making fundraising efforts like Chloe’s all the more vital.
We’re incredibly proud of Chloe, not just for her bravery, but for the compassion that drives everything she does, both in and out of work. She embodies the values that matter most to us at Right at Home: kindness, dedication, and going the extra mile to make a difference.
Congratulations to Chloe and Billy on this amazing achievement! 🎉
If you'd still like to donate and support the life-changing work of Rowans Hospice, every little helps — and makes a big difference.
