Reflecting on Our Heart-warming Christmas Tea Party

Right at Home Portsmouth's Christmas Tea Party

Appreciating the Value of Face-to-Face Interaction

According to Age UK, almost 1.5 million older people feel more lonely at Christmas than any other time of year. So, at Right at Home Portsmouth, we thought a Christmas Tea Party would be a great way to get together and help our cherished Clients and their families feel festive and keep spirits high.

During the event, we rediscovered the power of sharing stories, laughter, and creating lasting connections, all of which play a vital role in nurturing our well-being. Our Tea Party was a testament to the immense value of face-to-face interaction.

Nurturing Well-Being Through Shared Connections

At Right at Home Portsmouth, we've always believed in the profound impact of genuine social bonds on our well-being. The Christmas Tea Party was an opportunity for our community to come together, fostering a sense of belonging and strengthening our mental resilience through shared moments of joy and camaraderie.

Cherishing the Moments of Togetherness

Our Tea Party was more than just an event; it was a celebration of the simple pleasures of life—the festive decorations, the heartfelt conversations, and the warmth of shared experiences over tea. These moments allowed us to pause, appreciate, and treasure the present.

All Right at Home Portsmouth Staff came together volunteering to taxi Clients to and from the event, baked delicious cakes and graciously served tea, coffee and sandwiches.

Thank You For Being Part of Our Celebration

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who joined us at our Christmas Tea Party. Your presence added warmth and joy to the festivities. Whether you've been a long-time member of our community or have recently become acquainted with us, your participation made the event truly special.
A Client’s family members had this to say:

“Thank you so much for your hard work in laying on the Christmas Tea Party for us this afternoon, it was great to meet staff and guests and I so enjoyed that cup of tea from a china cup and saucer not to mention the slice of chocolate/orange cake!”

Continuing the Spirit Beyond the Event

Though our Christmas Tea Party has concluded, the spirit of connection and community lives on. We invite you to stay tuned for future events and continue to be part of our journey of creating meaningful connections and spreading joy where possible within our community.
