How the WorkBuzz results are helping to shape our future
Earlier this year, we were delighted to be recognised as a 5 Star Employer. This achievement was particularly meaningful as it was direct feedback from our team and clients. The survey gave our staff and clients the opportunity to share their opinions, experiences, what is going well and highlight areas for improvement.
At Right at Home South Cheshire, listening to our feedback is a key part of what we do and how we keep progressing as a whole. While we are proud of the positive results, we also recognise the opportunity to improve certain parts of our operations.
In this blog, we'd like to share some of the changes we have made in response to the results, and how we plan to implement these changes, if not already done so. It's our way of showing that when our team speaks, we listen.
You Said:
While the survey results were very positive, with over a 70% positive response in most areas, we believe there is always room for improvement and growth.
Here are the key themes that our team indicated could need growth:

Importantly, these themes were not areas of poor performance. They still received very strong results from our team. However, we do not stop at good results, we want to strengthen every area of our services to be outstanding and this feedback allow us to do just that and continue to build an outstanding workplace.

Here are the changes we have implemented into our workplace to allow Right at Home South Cheshire to continue to grow. This consists of changes we have made, will be making and things we will continue to do in the future.
Communication & Feedback
- We introduced more 1 - 1 meetings with the team.
- We have held interactive team meetings.
- Introduced and continue to utilise Connect Team
- Strengthened our 'Speak Up' culture and reinforce our open door policy.
Recognition
- Implemented weekly GEM awards, inviting the team to come into the office to receive their award with photo opportunities to share with the wider team.
- Encouraged Line Managers to give more proactive and immediate positive feedback to the team.
- Celebrating our achievements more publicly.
- This year we are also celebrating our 10 year anniversary of Right at Home South Cheshire, and are planning an awards evening to celebrate with staff, clients and others
Career Development
- Developed clearer career pathways.
- Promote internal progression opportunities.
- Offer leadership development opportunities.
- Improve communication around promotion criteria and growth routes.
- Introducing a mentorship programme so experienced members of the team support the operations.
Client Introduction
- Standardise Client handover procedures through Connect Team
- Increase shadowing/introductory visits where possible.
Other Themes: Rota & Travel Time
After reflecting on the results, we are reviewing our roster and route planning, to ensure all staff and clients needs are met. To do this we are involving our team directly with the schedule planning.
This will benefit our team and clients as it will help to reduce strain on the rota and travel time between calls.
Turning Feedback Into Action
Receiving the 5 Star Employer Award was a proud moment for our team and a reflection of Right at Home South Cheshire as a whole. The improvements we have made on the back of the results are already helping to create clearer communication, stronger engagement, and greater support across the team.
This has a direct impact on the people we care for in our local community, ensuring consistency, confidence and continuity in the service they receive.
