Digital and Community Marketing Partner

My journey with Right at Home began in February 2020 when I joined the Derby branch as a CareGiver. Transitioning from a background in hospitality and catering to the healthcare sector was a significant career shift, but the comprehensive training I received equipped me well for this new challenge. I quickly adapted to my role and soon realised it was a perfect fit for me, wishing I had made the switch earlier.

With the support and encouragement of my management team, I embarked on an Adult Care Worker apprenticeship. Initially, I was apprehensive about returning to education after a long hiatus, but the ample time and resources provided helped me manage my studies effectively.

In December 2021, I expanded my responsibilities by joining the recruitment team, where I focused on identifying and onboarding future caregivers. This experience broadened my understanding of the business and sparked a new interest in social media management. I began managing the company’s social media accounts, which opened up exciting opportunities to engage with our community in new ways.

By January 2024, I transitioned from the recruitment department to my current role as the Digital and Community Marketing Partner for Right at Home Derby, Ashby, Burton and Uttoxeter. In this capacity, I oversee our business websites, Google pages, and social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. Additionally, I organise charity events, coffee mornings, and participate in community activities such as local Women’s Institute meetings, sponsored events, fairs, and Alzheimer’s Memory Cafés.
