I always wanted to work in care and since leaving school have gained hands on experience within a number of NHS settings, care homes, hospices and individual private home care.
I have been working for Right at Home since 2018. Starting as a CareGiver, I always looked forward to the challenge of getting to know new clients, their families and what works best to ensure they are well cared for and feel safe within their home environment. Although my role has changed over the years, my passion for the role hasn't.
I was very pleased to be nominated for the RAH CareGiver of the Year 2021, and I was very proud to have won against stiff competition from all over the country.
In early 2022 I completed a level 4 Diploma in Adult Care and then I was lucky enough to become the Registered Manager of Right at Home Mid Sussex, a role that I am incredibly excited about, especially as I have had the support of such a wonderful team.
