Celebrating the Last Night of the Proms at Sing and Smile

We’re always so heartened to see the joy our Sing and Smile sessions bring to the start of each week. Through a shared love of music, memories are sparked, spirits are lifted, and meaningful connections are made — often in the most simple and beautiful ways.

On 15 September, we were delighted to host an extra-special extended Sing and Smile session, celebrating the Last Night of the Proms in partnership with The Note Warehouse and Cadbury Hall Care Home.

Led by the wonderful Hollie, our much-loved facilitator (and singer extraordinaire), the session was filled with classic Proms favourites — both old and new. A rousing rendition of Land of Hope and Glory echoed around The Note Warehouse as voices (and flags!) were raised together in true Proms style.

We rounded off the afternoon in the best possible way, enjoying delicious home-baked shortbread kindly provided by Cadbury Hall Care Home — a perfect end to a joyful and memorable celebration.

Sing and Smile is a friendly, informal sing-along, open to anyone who loves music. Whether you enjoy singing along with the song sheets or prefer to sit back and listen, everyone is welcome.

All proceeds go towards funding dementia-friendly activities in our local community, helping to create more moments of connection and joy for people living with dementia.
