As part of our independent WorkBuzz survey, Carers shared honest feedback about working in home care, including the support they receive, the training available and what they enjoy most about their role.
A Supportive and Friendly Team
Carers consistently described a strong sense of teamwork and support across the service.
They said they always feel supported and comfortable asking questions without judgement, and that the team is helpful, approachable and willing to share knowledge. Carers also described the culture as friendly and built on mutual support, where everyone works together to deliver the best care possible.
Other Carers added that the team is “helpful, supportive and happy to share knowledge” and that Right at Home “truly cares for staff as much as Clients”.
Carers also described the working environment as:

Training, Listening and Career Development at Right at Home
Carers highlighted how important ongoing training and being listened to is in their role.
They shared that management provide additional training when needed and that they feel listened to when things change or support is required. Several Carers also spoke about being given opportunities to progress because their potential is recognised.
Carers also explained that they feel listened to and supported when raising concerns or asking for help. One Carer said that they had been given opportunities to progress and grow because their passion and potential were recognised.
Additional feedback included that Carers feel:

- Management actively listen

- Confidence is built through ongoing support

Carers consistently spoke about the emotional reward of supporting Clients and seeing the difference they make every day.
They described the importance of building relationships, supporting independence and seeing positive outcomes in Clients’ wellbeing. Many Carers highlighted the pride they feel when Clients or families recognise their efforts.
Other Carers shared that they enjoy “making a real difference every day”, that it is a “rewarding job with a great team”, and that this is “by far the best home care company I have worked for”.
