Celebrating a Decade of Trusted Home Care Support

Reaching ten years in any role is a milestone. In care, it says even more. It speaks to commitment, trust, and the relationships built over time.

Recently, we celebrated a special moment at Right at Home Solent. Fabian Miller, one of our very first Carers, reached his ten-year anniversary with the company.

Fabian joined at the very beginning, when everything was still new and uncertain. There were no established systems, no large team, and no guarantees. What there was, however, was a shared belief in delivering care that people could rely on. Fabian chose to be part of that from day one.

One of our Directors reflected on that early time, sharing how much those first days meant. They remembered working side by side with Fabian, supporting Clients together and figuring things out as they went. Those moments, from early morning visits to handwritten care notes, helped shape how the service operates today.

Fabian quickly became someone both Clients and colleagues could rely on. He showed up consistently, often arriving early, ready to support. Over time, that reliability-built trust not just with the people he cared for, but with their families as well.

A Familiar Face for Clients and Families

In homecare, continuity matters. Seeing the same Carer regularly can make a real difference to how someone feels day to day. Fabian has been that familiar face for many people over the years.

Families often talk about how important it is to know who is coming through the door. With Fabian, that trust has been built over time through simple, consistent actions. Turning up when expected, taking the time to listen, and understanding what matters to each individual.

These are the moments that are not always visible, but they are the ones that stay with people.

Growing with the Company

Fabian’s journey reflects the growth of Right at Home Solent itself. From those early days to where the service is now, his contribution has been part of that progress.

Over the years, the way care is delivered has evolved. Systems have improved, teams have grown, and new approaches have been introduced. Fabian has been there through all of it, adapting, learning, and continuing to support Clients in the same steady way.

It is not always a straightforward journey. As our Director shared, there have been challenges along the way. That is part of building something meaningful. What stands out is the people who stay committed through those moments, and Fabian is one of them.

A Thank You That Goes Beyond Words

Reaching ten years is not just about time. It reflects the impact someone has made along the way.

Fabian’s dedication, experience, and approach to care have helped shape the service and the experience of many Clients and families across our local community.

Celebrating this milestone is a chance to say thank you. Not just for the years, but for the difference made in each visit, each conversation, and each moment of support.
