Our Ethos
When you arrange care for yourself or someone you love, you are placing trust in more than a service. You are placing trust in a person.
You are trusting that they will treat you, your family and your home with respect. You are trusting that they will understand what matters most to you and act with genuine compassion and care in moments that matter.
At Right at Home, our care professionals understand that responsibility. Our culture is defined by high standards, thoughtful leadership and a commitment to doing things properly.
This is how we protect that trust.
Locally Rooted Care
Our teams are part of the communities we support, with strong local knowledge and a genuine understanding of what matters to people living here.
This local connection brings understanding. It means recognising familiar routines, community values and the places that shape everyday life.
Choosing domiciliary care is about more than practical assistance. It is about welcoming someone into your life and your home. We take time to match each Client with a Carer who understands how you want to spend your day and what matters most to you.
Consistency is prioritised wherever possible. Familiar faces allow trust to build naturally and enable Carers to truly understand your health needs and preferences. This understanding makes it easier to notice when something changes.
With the right Carer beside you, care supports not only safety, but your independence and identity.
Carefully Selected
Every care professional joins us through a rigorous and considered recruitment approach designed to safeguard Clients and uphold professional integrity.
This includes:
- Enhanced background checks
- Full verification of identity and right to work
- Detailed references
- Structured interviews exploring both capability and character
We look for individuals who combine warmth with judgement, empathy with accountability. Kindness matters deeply. So does reliability, discretion and the ability to work within clear professional standards.
Professionally Prepared
Before working independently, each Carer completes a structured induction covering:
- Person-Centred Care
- Safeguarding
- Communication Skills
- Infection Prevention and Control
- Moving and Assisting
- Medication Administration
- …and more as part of their induction and ongoing development
Skilled Support as Needs Evolve
Care needs can change gradually or unexpectedly. Our care professionals are prepared to respond with clarity and confidence.
Many Carers deepen their expertise in areas such as dementia support, rehabilitation, and more complex conditions. Where clinical input is required, we work in close collaboration with GPs, community nurses and primary care teams to ensure care remains appropriate and well coordinated.
Because Carers provide consistent support, they are often the first to notice subtle changes in wellbeing. Good communication with Clients, their loved ones and primary care teams allows us to adapt care promptly, protecting health while continuing to support you to live independently at home.
Leadership, Oversight and Accountability
Exceptional care depends on strong leadership.
Every Right at Home office is supported by an experienced team that oversees planning, delivery and review. Care is never left unsupported or unmanaged.
Carers receive regular supervision and have direct access to senior guidance whenever required. Care plans are developed around understanding what matters most to you and are reviewed as circumstances change. Records are maintained with clarity and professionalism so that families and healthcare partners remain appropriately informed.
We're fully-regulated by the Care Quality Commission. Independent inspection and oversight ensure national standards for safety, effectiveness and leadership are upheld.
This structure exists for one reason: to safeguard the people we support.
Working in Partnership with Families
Confidence grows through communication.
We maintain open dialogue with families and, where appropriate, healthcare professionals. Care is shaped around personal preference, daily routines and evolving needs.
If something needs to change, it can be addressed promptly. Concerns are handled with professionalism and care. Responsiveness is not an afterthought. It is part of our responsibility.
Because our Carers are carefully prepared and consistently supported, they are able to focus on what matters most: helping you feel safe, respected and comfortable in your own home.
When you choose Right at Home, you are choosing care delivered with confidence and professional accountability, supporting you to live independently and with dignity.
