Looking Back
It’s hard to believe that 10 years have passed so quickly. In August 2015, we received our Care Quality Commission (CQC) registration, marking the beginning of an incredible journey. Looking back, I’m immensely proud of everything we’ve achieved and grateful to everyone who has been part of our story.

What's at the heart of everything we do?
What has made the last decade so special isn’t just the growth of the business—it’s the people. Building what I truly believe is one of the best home care agencies in the area has given me the opportunity to meet and work alongside some truly remarkable individuals.
Our Care Assistants have always been at the heart of what we do. Their compassion, professionalism, and attention to detail have consistently made a real difference to the lives of our clients. I must not be too bad as a boss either—one member of our team has been with me for more than nine of those ten years!
When I reflect on everyone who has worked with us over the years, I’m proud that many who have moved on have done so because of personal life changes, such as relocating or changing family circumstances, rather than dissatisfaction with their role. Even more rewarding is seeing familiar faces return. Today, four members of our care team are enjoying their second chapter with Right at Home, which says a great deal about the culture we’ve built together.
Providing outstanding care is never something we do alone. Over the years, we’ve worked closely with District Nurses, GPs, pharmacists, occupational therapists, and many other healthcare professionals. These partnerships have helped us deliver the highest standard of care, while also enabling us to learn, adapt, and continually improve as regulations evolve and expectations grow. Strong professional relationships make an enormous difference to the support we can provide for our clients and their families.

"Right at Home cared for my Aunt for around 7 years and I have to say they were wonderful. The carers were very diligent and observant with regard to health issues ensuring that I was always aware when a doctor or healthcare professional needed to be consulted. My Aunt was always kept very clean and comfortable. She had good quality attention, conversation and stimulation. Above all I knew without doubt that they all genuinely cared for her. Of course, none of this would be possible without our clients and their loved ones. It has been an absolute privilege to build trusting relationships with so many wonderful families. Working together with a shared focus on what is best for each individual is one of the most rewarding aspects of what we do.
One of the unexpected joys of my role has been listening to our clients' life stories. Many have shared extraordinary memories of travelling the world during the 1940s and 1950s, embarking on adventures that would feel daunting even today—with all the technology and conveniences we now take for granted. Their resilience, wisdom, and experiences are truly inspiring, and it is a privilege to be trusted with their care.
As we celebrate this milestone, I want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has been part of our journey—our clients, their families, our dedicated CareGivers, and our healthcare partners. Your trust, commitment, and support have made the last 10 years possible.
