Franchise Owners enjoy a day of strategic planning with the Right at Home leadership team
Right at Home's Franchise Advisory Council is an integral forum for collaboration and feedback

Thursday, 14 May saw us welcome members of our Franchise Advisory Council to Right at Home’s national office, for one of our quarterly meetings to collaborate on operational plans and strategies.
The Franchise Advisory Council (FAC) currently comprises nine business owners (with representation typically sitting at around 15% of the total network) who have signed up to represent their peers and help shape the evolution of our brand and franchise system.
Their role includes helping to develop new initiatives, fostering effective two-way communication between the franchisor and the wider network, and helping to protect and promote the brand.
The current chair of the Council is Andrew Davis, owner of Right at Home Bournemouth and Poole, who is now in his 13th year trading; while the newest members, Vicky Butler and Darshan Vora, are just entering their third year as owners of Right at Home Isle of Wight and Camden and Hampstead, respectively.
“It’s important that the FAC includes representation from all stages of business growth,” says Network Development head Kate Dilworth. “Perspectives and considerations change as businesses mature, and the impact of some decisions will also vary.”
The FAC meet at least quarterly with the Directors – twice a year in person and twice online – and act as a sounding board for their key strategic plans.
Discussions in this latest meeting covered a wide range of topics, from the structure of the Business Support team and the continued development of our bespoke software system to the timing of Client and CareGiver surveys and the planning of a network-wide charity picnic initiative.
Outside of the formal meetings, Council members also act as a conduit for peer-driven feedback and ensure that all voices in the network are heard, by speaking on behalf of anyone who might wish to remain anonymous.
Lucy Campbell, CEO of Right at Home UK, said: “We have always done our utmost to ensure that we have a range of different platforms for franchisee feedback and collaboration; members of the FAC know this is an environment in which they can have open and honest conversations and where their opinions will be heard and taken into consideration.”
FAC Chair Andrew Davis said: “A collaborative relationship between franchisees and the franchisor is absolutely fundamental to the success of the Right at Home network and the quality of care we provide.
“The Franchise Advisory Council offers open dialogue to try to get the experiences of franchisees and their teams incorporated into the direction Right at Home UK chooses to take. If franchisees work with the franchisor, we hope we can have a say in enhancing the support systems that aim to help franchisees thrive.”
