Welcoming guests to New Owner Induction Training
Including our first Registered Manager moving into business ownership!

The team have loved having guests in National Office throughout January, with separate training sessions for Owners and Managers taking place over three weeks.
Our New Owner Induction Training programme kicks off with 10 days of face to face training, each led by a subject specialist.
Attending this programme were a number of owners who are in the process of buying an existing Right at Home business in a franchise resale (more news on those to come, once the deals complete!)
And in a first for us, we've also awarded a franchise to one of our current Registered Managers, who is making the leap from managing a Franchisee's service to owning their own business.
Veronica Manolache joined Right at Home as the Registered Manager for RaH Ilkley, Keighley and Skipton three years ago - it's a role she's loved and excelled at, but her ambition has always been to own her own business and she's now in a position to make that leap, supported by her partner Steve.
Veronica is currently working with her MD at RaH Ilkley, Paresh Mistry, to recruit and develop a replacement manager for his service, while also setting the foundation stones for her own venture in the neighbouring Harrogate territory.
"The training we've done this month has been excellent," she said. "Of course I'm in a different position to most attendees, as I have sector experience, but I have never owned a business before and the training covered all aspects of this.
"So the days focusing on Finance, Marketing and Recruitment were especially important for me, as I have less experience in these areas; and it was nice that I could contribute to the training around care compliance, training and management - which were totally new to other people on the course - with a lot of real-life context and experience."
Head of Network Development, Kate Dilworth, said: "Coming into a new sector, especially one as heavily regulated as care - there's a lot for our new owners to learn, and that can seem a little daunting.
"Over our 12 years of experience we've learned that this needs to be an ongoing training and development journey, of which the 10-day induction course is just the beginning. It gives new owners all the crucial information and context they need, about how the business operates, and their new responsibilities in each area.
"But because they have not yet started their new roles, it's all theoretical at this point, so we follow this course up with more operational training once they have been trading a few weeks. By this point, they are ready to move on to the practical 'how to' side of things - for example, it's important they can demonstrate compliance safely and with confidence, without needing their manager alongside them."
Later in the month our training room was back in use for a five day course tailored to Registered Managers who have recently joined the network, giving them the tools to comply with health and social care regulation and management, and an important insight into the brand's culture and values.
