We are delighted to announce the expansion of the Right at Home UK network, and to welcome new franchise owners Grantley Lynch and Tracey Shehan on board. Bringing the total number of UK franchises to 55, our newest locations will be operated by Grantley in Medway, Kent; and by Tracey in Hemel Hempstead, Herts.
This month they completed their two-week Initial Training programme at Right at Home, passing with flying colours, and are now in the process of preparing for registration with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
For Grantley, the last six months have marked the launch of a new era for his family. The former IT and Business Management professional had been living and working in Frankfurt, Germany for the past few years. The decision to return to his hometown of Gillingham was partly to be nearer his mum, a retired midwife, and partly to enable his move into business ownership.
He felt he had reached the top of his previous career and so started looking for a reduced-risk way to work for himself, whilst providing for his young family, “Franchising takes care of the risk elements associated with starting your own business,” he says of Right at Home’s franchise opportunity. “I first met with them last January, and really liked what Right at Home stands for. It resonated with me. They genuinely care about providing the best homecare.”
“I am blessed with both my parents being alive,” he continues. “But as they grow older, I know I can’t always be there, so I wanted to influence them to access the best possible homecare services. It was a real pleasure to complete the initial training this July. I have high expectations for my Right at Home Medway business, and intend to never compromise on our quality of care, although I might compromise on sleep, and some grey hair!”
Tracey Shehan who has worked in a variety of care franchises, rising from caregiver to management, demonstrating how much she genuinely cares. She is now ready to run her own business. “I could have started-up independently with my experience. But franchising gives me security. Right at Home offer their brand, business structure, and training on how to run a business. I didn’t want to worry about learning how to do this, I want to focus on what’s important. Offering exceptional homecare. My motto has always been: True care doesn’t come from any textbook. It comes from within. I’ll always stand by this, and inspire my team to live by the same. My business will be built on caring, passionate, solid values.”
Signing their 10-year Franchise Agreements before marks the culmination of a detailed process of evaluation that Right at Home supports all prospective owners to complete before they commit to the investment.
“Tracey and Grantley share the same desire as all Right at Home business owners; to genuinely care for people in their local community,” explains Franchise Recruitment Manager, Kate Dilworth, who enjoys meeting caring people to discuss their opportunity to start their own Right at Home business. To find out if you’re suited to the Right at Home franchise, give Kate a call on 0151 305 0755 for a friendly chat.
