New Right at Home offices prepare to open in Bromsgrove and North Leeds
Owners Mark and Rachel complete induction training at RaH National Office

We have loved having new Right at Home Franchise Owners Mark Appleton and Rachel Critchley up at National Office this month.
The soon-to-be Managing Directors of Right at Home Bromsgrove and North Leeds & Otley respectively, Mark and Rachel spent ten days learning the management aspects of our business model, with experts from all departments of the National Office support team.
They are also progressing with their CQC applications; submitting business plans, to make sure they have plenty of working capital to support their start-up; hunting for the ideal office premises and working with us to recruit an experienced Care Manager. So, life is quite busy for them!
Once their businesses are operational, Mark and Rachel will be back for more training - this time of an operational nature. It's important that we upskill owners who are new to the care sector quickly, so they can work in partnership with their managers and build flexibility and resilience into their small team.
One benefit to our owners is that Right at Home is an accredited training provider, so we can train owners and managers to deliver the full CareGiver Induction programme from their own offices, reducing the time and cost of onboarding new staff.
Mark said: "It was really exciting to spend that time up at National Office; to see the whole business, meet the wider team, and to understand the huge levels of support that we will receive.
"Although I have run a franchise business before, this has been a totally new experience and it's really cemented my confidence about coming into the care sector with Right at Home.
"Things like the finance training, even though it wasn't all new to me, it was hugely beneficial to understanding this model and will make life much easier as we get started."
Mark comes to us with excellent franchising experience, having run and significantly grown a Wiltshire Fine Foods franchise for the last three years.
Delivering nutritious plated meals to his local community, there is a large overlap in target markets for care, which gives Mark a great insight into our Clients' typical needs and the value of their ongoing independence.
But each franchise model is different - and delivering care comes with high levels of compliance, so like all new Franchise Owners, Mark will get receive support that is tailored around his previous experience and new knowledge of the sector.
In a twist of fate, both of the owners on November's programme have run different franchises previously; but in each case they purchased an existing business rather than building their own start-up.
Rachel Critchley - formerly Williams - ran a Molly Maid domestic cleaning franchise among her former businesses and - like Mark - successfully built it into one of the network's top-quartile performers; so naturally we've got high expectations of them both!
Having taken a career break to bring up her two children, Rachel says she's now itching to get back into business:
"I've missed having a team! I'm definitely a people person and I love the potential with this business model to really make a positive impact on people's lives - not just future Clients and their families, but our future staff too.
"I take a great deal of satisfaction from helping others, whether this is giving staff confidence in their own ability, improving a Client's life for the better, or a random opportunity to brighten someone's day. Right at Home offers a fantastic platform to do that, whilst also running a profitable business.
"It's also apparent that Right at Home offer fantastic support and that they don't take on just anybody - it was a challenging selection process and that's given me confidence that the rest of the network will have similar values to my own. I can't wait to get started now!"
