Our Network is Growing!

The second half of 2020 sees exciting expansion plans underway within the Right at Home UK network.

We currently have four new offices preparing to register with their nationwide care regulator – including our first location in Scotland! The new businesses will be covering areas around Aylesbury Vale and Chiltern; Chichester & Bognor Regis; Glasgow South and Loughborough.

The RightStart team at National Office has been busy working alongside our newest franchise owners, helping them to source and recruit experienced Care Managers and to prepare their offices for trading.

We also held our second New Owner Training programme within Q3, where Greg de Franca from Glasgow (pictured signing his Franchise Agreement with RaH UK CEO Ken Deary), and David Newcombe from Loughborough were joined by three new members of the Right at Home National Office support team.

With Business Support Manager Alan Anstey; Quality & Compliance Manager Tracy James, and Data Administrator Anna Kadzikowska on board, our current support ratio is 1:3 franchisees.

Elsewhere within the network, a number of Right at Home offices are working on exciting plans to expand their reach across their wider territory area.

Supported by comprehensive ‘Territory Maximisation’ guidance created by National Office, business owners have executed a strategy to forge growth in new communities, and extend the scope of their service delivery.

In many cases, this has included opening a second office premises, to support the recruitment of CareGivers and accommodate a local back office support team.

Here are some highlights of the expansion plans currently in operation across the network:

  • Alastair Shanks and the team at RaH GF now have a second office servicing the Alton and Bordon area; as a CQC registered location this allows Alastair, Sara and the team to carry out all aspects of care management on site.
  • Right at Home Sefton have also led the way, opening a second office on a high-street location in Formby, back in March. This is a Recruitment & Training Office, used primarily for onboarding new staff.
  • Right at Home Croydon is currently preparing to open a second high-street office premises, initially to be used for driving recruitment and raising brand awareness in Caterham, in the south of the territory.
  • Bob Thornton at RaH Camberley & Woking is following a community engagement strategy to expand his business into Woking, with a team working in the field in Woking to generate sales and recruitment enquiries, which will be picked up by his Camberley office team.
  • Adopting the same strategy, Julie Houston has taken on a second Care Manager to expand RaH North Cheshire & Leigh into the previously unoccupied Lymm area.
  • And Scott MacRae has also launched plans to extend RaH Maidenhead, Ascot & Windsor into Henley, in the west of his territory.

Scott said: “Having a base in Henley to accompany active community engagement has given us an immediate kickstart with the expansion; we’ve had one Client and a number of enquiries already.”

A word from our CEO & COO…

Ken said: “Our goal is to ensure that vulnerable people right across each territory have the opportunity to access Right at Home’s services, and we’re delighted to see an immediate and proactive response to Project Maximisation.

“Some of our leading owners already have their plans well underway and are now seeing the positive impact of building their brand in new areas; whether this has meant opening a second office or simply employing a focused plan of Community Engagement.”

Lucy added: “Right at Home UK can provide all the tools and support you need to maximise the potential of your territory. Working in collaboration with a number of Franchise Owners, The Business Support team have done a fantastic job in putting together a clear and comprehensive tool kit, and will be delighted to support those owners who are ready to push their business to the next stage of growth.”
