Right at Home Dundee, Angus & North Fife Earns ‘Very Good’ Rating Across All Areas from the Care Inspectorate

Published: 17/07/2025

Right at Home’s first office in Scotland has set the bar high. We’re delighted to share that our Dundee, Angus & North Fife team has achieved a Grade 5 ‘Very Good’ rating in all assessed areas following its first unannounced inspection by the Care Inspectorate.

To receive such a strong endorsement at the first inspection is a remarkable milestone – not just for the team locally, but for our entire network. It demonstrates the strength of the Right at Home model when delivered with integrity, consistency and care-led leadership.

This success also marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Right at Home in the devolved nations. With this strong foundation in Scotland, we are actively planning to expand into Northern Ireland and bring our high-quality, person-centred care to even more communities across the UK.

Quality That Stands Out

The Care Inspectorate recognised the service’s strong leadership and consistent delivery of person-centred care. Inspectors found that Clients were receiving support that matched their individual needs, delivered by familiar Carers who treated them with respect. The team’s thoughtful approach to communication and planning meant that people felt safe and supported in ways that mattered most to them.

Feedback from Clients and their families reinforced the report’s findings. Many described our team as “kind and caring,” “very good at their job,” and “always going out of their way to help.”

Some highlights from the report include:

  • “People receiving support and their families told us they could not fault their care.”
  • “People we spoke with were very complimentary about the staff providing their support; they told us that staff were patient, kind and caring and that they were treated with dignity and respect.”
  • “This responsive approach ensured the service was provided in accordance with people's individual needs and promoted their health and wellbeing.”
  • “Care staff had built trusting relationships with those they supported and knew people well – this helped staff identify any changes to people’s needs and when additional support may be required.”
  • “We were assured that the service was led by an effective management team who were committed to continuous improvement and providing a high standard of care.”
  • “Staff were clear about their role and responsibilities, they were motivated and felt supported and happy in their job.”
  • “People and their families were involved in the assessment process, planning their support and identifying the outcomes they wished to achieve.”

Driven by Values, Backed by a Proven Model

Managing Director Philippe Rondepierre reflected on the achievement:

“We are absolutely thrilled with this report and incredibly proud of the whole team. To receive a 5 across all areas is a testament to the unwavering dedication, skill and compassion of our staff. More importantly, it reflects the positive impact we are making in people’s lives every day.”
