Right at Home's award-winning Havant franchise has opened a second office in Petersfield to extend its person-centred care services across a wider area.

The new office officially opened in December, with The Rt Hon Damian Hinds MP and mayor Cllr JC Crissey cutting the ribbon.

Owner Duncan Cameron and his team are now in the process of building a second team of compassionate, committed, and highly trained care professionals to deliver a range of services, from personal care and companionship, through to 24-hour live-in care.

Duncan has successfully run RaH Havant for eight years, gaining an Outstanding rating from the Care Quality Commission and being awarded a 5* Employer Award by independent employee engagement specialist, WorkBuzz.

The franchise also has a wealth of experience in caring for people with dementia, and has launched several social groups, including a dementia choir and a dementia-friendly gardening group, to support those living with the condition in the local community.

Duncan described the opening of the new Petersfield office as another “proud moment” for him and his team.

He said: “It's fantastic that we now have an office in Petersfield which is local to its community, and we are excited to be delivering homecare to its residents. It has taken a lot of planning to get to where we are now, so being able to open our doors and welcome in the local community is a proud moment for me and the team.”

Deputy Care Manager Louise Reeve – who shares Duncan’s passion for providing high-quality care – will oversee operations at the office. She is looking to build a team of like-minded, caring individuals to help realise her dream.

She said: “They don’t need to have previous experience in care, as all our staff complete fully paid and comprehensive induction training. It is a great opportunity to start a rewarding career with a new team in a new business.”
