A passionate team of care professionals from Right at Home Ilkley, Keighley & Skipton has successfully taken on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge.
They raised over £1,000 for Dementia Adventure, a UK charity that helps people living with dementia enjoy the benefits of nature and outdoor activity.
The challenge took place on Sunday, 25 May 2025, with the team tackling the demanding 24-mile route across Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough. The group included: Paresh Mistry (Managing Director), Samuel Harrop (Registered Manager), Hayley Daniels (Senior CareGiver), and Elitsa Stoyanova (CareGiver).
Despite the physically challenging terrain and changeable weather, Paresh, Samuel, and Elitsa successfully completed all three peaks in under 12 hours. Hayley, taking part in her first-ever trekking experience, impressively completed two peaks, showing tremendous determination and spirit.
“We’re so proud of what the team has achieved,” said Paresh Mistry. “The challenge was tough, but knowing it was for such a meaningful cause kept us all going. Dementia Adventure does incredible work, and we’re thrilled to have surpassed our fundraising target.”
There’s still time to donate and help make an even bigger impact. Contributions can be made at: https://www.justgiving.com/page/rightathomeilkleykeighleyskipton
All proceeds will go directly to Dementia Adventure, which provides supported holidays, outdoor activities, and training to help people with dementia live more active, connected lives.
