A record seven accolades at the 2022 Home Care Awards

Right at Home sweeps the board in national industry awards

Right at Home scooped an outstanding total of seven recognitions at the Home Care Awards on Friday 1 April 2022. 

The network swept the board, taking home five awards and two high commendations, including the highly coveted Gold Award, which recognises Right at Home as the Outstanding Home Care Provider of the Year 2022.

Right at Home UK took home four accolades, with Right at Home East Lancashire, Right at Home Reigate and Crawley and Right at Home North Somerset also collecting awards for their work as individual franchises, resulting in a total of five title wins and two high commendations across the network.

We were delighted to be recognised for our continuing efforts to provide high quality care during what has been another incredibly challenging year for the industry.

Awarded ‘Best Home Care Group or Franchise Network’, Right at Home UK was acknowledged for its innovative approach and significant investments during the last 12 months, which have led to another record-breaking year of growth and awards. 

The support available to franchises was also recognised by an award for Best for Marketing Expertise, which praised the robust system in place to help offices implement effective marketing strategies within their local communities. Considerable investments have been made into our marketing plan, including new websites which have generated a much faster website speed and easier navigation, leading to an improved user experience. 

Right at Home UK also received a high commendation for Best Team Support Expertise (Head Office and Back-Up).

The group currently has a group score of 9.9/10 on the independent review site homecare.co.uk, with over 2,000 reviews – the highest score of any homecare group on the site. Right at Home also leads the way when it comes to inspection ratings from the Care Quality Commission (CQC), with an industry-high of 35% of inspected offices rated Outstanding.

All of this led to the franchise network being awarded the Outstanding Home Care Provider of the year Gold award – which was proudly accepted by the CEO Lucy Campbell.

Right at Home East Lancashire

Best for Team Support Expertise 

This year, Right at Home East Lancashire celebrated its 10th anniversary of making a difference in the local community and the team were delighted to receive the award for Best Team Support Expertise. The accolade recognises the incredible support provided from office staff to CareGivers throughout the pandemic and ever since.

Over 50% of staff have been team members of the Blackburn based office for between three and ten years – an impressive statistic in the social care sector, which often sees a high rate of staff turnover. Staff satisfaction was further evidenced in the recent 2022 Workbuzz survey results, where Right at Home East Lancashire received a phenomenal 100% engagement score - meaning they got the best possible feedback from every contributing member of staff.

Right at Home Reigate and Crawley

Best Individual Home Care Branch or Franchise within a Group or Network

Right at Home Reigate and Crawley has become an integral part of its local community, having built strong relationships with Clients since the office opened just over four years ago. Judges praised the team’s ability to provide truly meaningful care that makes a real difference to the lives of Clients. CareGivers go the extra mile for the Clients on a daily basis – assisting them to bake, rekindle love for some of their favourite instruments and even learn yoga to stay active. Since the pandemic, the team have introduced arm chair yoga sessions in the community – encouraging Clients to socialise while they keep fit. 

Apurva Sharma, Managing Director, puts in equally huge efforts to ensure CareGivers also feel supported and included, regularly hosting social events such as coffee drop ins in the office. Outside of the immediate network, Apurva has helped to manage regular collections for the local food bank, showing what an incredible support to the community the office has become. The award praised the team’s efforts to achieve their main goal of always providing the highest quality care and recognised their 360 degree approach to placing Right at Home Reigate and Crawley at the centre of the local community – truly making a difference every day.

Right at Home North Somerset

High Commendation for Best Team Support Expertise (Staff Wellbeing)

Right at Home North Somerset places high importance on ensuring that team members feel valued and appreciated, which was reflected in their WorkBuzz 2021 Satisfaction Survey results, where an impressive 94% of the team said they are proud to work for the homecare provider. Their commitment to ensuring every team member feels valued and supported was noticed by judges with a High Commendation for Best Team Support Expertise (Staff Wellbeing).

One team member said: “After 17 years in the care industry, this is the first care company I have worked for where I feel valued and appreciated. The management do all they can to support you to get a good work life balance.” 

During the pandemic, the management team ensured that the amazing work of team members was recognised by frequently organising events such as virtual quiz nights, Zoom drinks and socially distanced picnics, which helped the key workers to unwind and communicate. Ever since, the office has continued to recognise staff’s efforts through rewards such as vouchers, flowers and more in-person social events.
