Trainer and Carer
Jo has recently grown into her role and is thriving as our new Trainer, welcoming new carers to the team and guiding them through their training to ensure they are equipped to deliver person-centred care the Right at Home way. Alongside her training role, Jo continues to work within the community, providing high-quality care and support to our clients as she has done for over 4 years now!
Can you share a bit about your background and what you did prior to joining Right at Home?
"I worked in office admin for over 40 years, in my last role I was an Events Coordinator."
What inspired you to join Right at Home?
"The flexibility of hours and their professional approach."
What does a typical day look like for you?
"I can be visiting clients during the day, leading our regular Singing for the Mind group and then in the evening delivering training to carers."
What do you enjoy or find most rewarding about your role?
"Knowing that I am helping to make a difference, no matter how small to a client."
Can you share a memorable moment or achievement that you have experienced as a carer?
"Seeing the joy on a client's face when we had arranged for her to have her hair done at a local hairdressers."
