Creating Magic Moments In Wyebridge & Richmond

The Story

At the end of November, one of our Carers was chatting with our lovely Client, Eileen, about Christmas. During the conversation, they shared a mutual love for festive decorations and talked about favourite places to shop at this special time of year. Eileen mentioned she would love to visit Osterley Garden Centre, known for its beautiful and unique Christmas displays, but sadly felt she had no one who could go with her.

Wanting to make this wish come true, the Carer offered to take Eileen in her own free time. After speaking with her manager, a visit was arranged for December. Once her scheduled visits were finished that day, she picked Eileen up from her home and drove her to Osterley, around a 30-minute journey.

As they entered the garden centre, Eileen was amazed by the festive decorations, lights, and displays. They took their time walking around, allowing Eileen to move at her own pace using her walking frame. She chose several beautiful decorations to take home, enjoying every moment of the experience.

After shopping, they stopped at a local restaurant for coffee and scones, chatting about Christmas and sharing a relaxed, joyful moment together. After a wonderful afternoon, Eileen was safely driven home - tired, but incredibly happy. The entire experience lasted around four and a half hours and left both the Carer and Client smiling.
