Rising Star receives recognition for raising the standards of home care

Right at Home Weybridge & Richmond’s Deputy Care Manager, Farzana Nasir has been named the winner of the Rising Star category at the Spelthorne Business Awards 2025, recognising her exceptional leadership and impact within her first year in the role.

Since joining Right at Home in August 2024, Farzana has had a transformational effect on both clients and team members. Under her leadership, weekly care hours have grown by over 40%, allowing the team to support more people in the local community.

Farzana has also overseen the expansion of the care team from nine to fourteen carers, including the promotion of one team member to Senior Carer. Her emphasis on mentorship, development, and collaboration has strengthened both morale and continuity of care.

A key part of Farzana’s approach is her commitment to ensuring no one in her care, whether that be clients or carers, feels alone. She has introduced regular team meetings, informal drop-ins, and improved the working environment by creating a welcoming office space that encourages connection and support.

Her compassionate leadership extends to clients and families too. When one client’s family faced financial challenges, Farzana worked with the finance team to find a sustainable solution that ensured uninterrupted care, demonstrating her commitment to dignity and trust.
