Right at Home introduce a Registered Managers Advisory Council
The RMAC is an invaluable platform for sharing ideas, best practice and knowledge among the network’s Registered Managers

Right at Home UK has formed a Registered Managers Advisory Council (RMAC) to support its growing network of care professionals.
The RMAC, made up of nine Registered Managers from across the franchise’s 80+ locations, will create a platform for sharing advice, knowledge and best practice.
Each Council member will support a portfolio of Registered Managers and provide a safe space for their peers to communicate their thoughts and ideas. They will offer a buddy system to support new managers as they join the network, and work alongside the Quality & Compliance team at Right at Home’s National Office.
Registered Manager Emily Colliss, from Right at Home Basingstoke, said she feels privileged to have joined the RMAC.
“The personalities that we’ve got on the RMAC are absolutely incredible,” she said. “We all come from a wealth of different experiences and backgrounds and we’re going to be able to share openly and help each other.”
Alison Taylor, who became Registered Manager at Right at Home Bristol two years ago, has also joined the RMAC.
She said: “I was really pleased to be given the opportunity to join the Council. I think it’s a great way to support other managers across the network, especially those new in post. When I joined Right at Home it would’ve been really helpful to have access to other Managers when trying to source resources and best practices, so it’s great that we can provide that now.”
The RMAC’s remit was presented to the network at Right at Home’s Managers’ Conference, which took place at the Ardencote Hotel in Warwickshire on November 14-15.
Lynette Waller, Head of Quality and Compliance for Right at Home UK, said: “We are really enjoying working with the RMAC – their insight will help us to drive best practice through our operational policies and working documents and align with the changing regulatory landscapes. The council will also serve to drive new initiatives, improve peer support and communication across the network and gain valuable feedback as a collective.”
The Conference gave managers from across the Right at Home network the opportunity to hear from influential speakers, attend practical workshops and network with their peers.
The two-day event kicked off with an address from Right at Home CEO Lucy Campbell, who spoke of the company’s commitment to its Registered Managers.
She also addressed the challenges the social care sector has faced from workforce shortages and the cost-of-living crisis; highlighted the company’s many achievements; and affirmed the network’s strategic direction.
Lucy said: “It was wonderful to spend quality time with our amazing and talented Registered Managers. As I always say, the true magic of franchising comes from the incredible support within the network, which is always at its best when we come together as a collective.”
Right at Home’s new Clinical Care Lead, Lisa Grainger, and Simon Osborne, Director of Quality, ‘In Home’ and Clinical Care, delivered updates on the progress of Right at Home’s Clinical Care Project, which is driving ‘hospital at home’ services across the network.
And to close the event, keynote speaker Jasmine Mbye, a multi-award winning international speaker, trainer and author, shared a compelling message on how a shift in mindset can help business managers improve their resilience, lower their stress levels and support the development of others.
