We were delighted to host a beautiful tea party for Nancy at The White Barn, surrounding her with the warmth and care she deserves. Nancy has been a cherished part of our community since May 2022, and celebrating her incredible life story was the highlight of our week.

Nancy’s life is a fascinating tapestry of experience. A former Nightingale nurse with a career spanning the UK, Canada, and the United States, she brings a wealth of wisdom and resilience to everything she does.
Since joining us in 2022, Nancy has remained fiercely independent, maintaining a busy social life that would put many to shame! Whether she’s off to watch classic films at the local church, exploring cathedrals, or enjoying a brisk walk through the garden, Nancy approaches life with curiosity.
She is also a passionate enthusiast of wildlife, flowers, and archaeology. We love seeing her neighbours pop over for a friendly game of Scrabble, highlighting the wonderful community spirit she enjoys.
Supporting Nancy to maintain her hobbies and independence is at the heart of our care philosophy. It’s not just about assistance; it’s about nurturing the passions that make our Clients who they are.

We wanted to make sure Nancy felt celebrated, so we prepared a lovely tea party with a delicious cake and a thoughtful gift - a plant to brighten her home.
