2025: Reflecting on Right at Home’s incredible success stories over the last 12 months

Published: 17/12/2025

With each passing year, Right at Home UK ramps up our efforts to support as many people as possible to live life on their terms, while making an incredible difference to communities across the UK and striving to build a brighter future for our beloved social care sector.

Join us as we look back on 2025 and celebrate a year of remarkable achievements across our network of over 80 offices, from launching lifechanging community initiatives and charity partnerships to securing national media coverage and prestigious award wins.

Community engagement

One of Right at Home’s top priorities is enhancing the physical and emotional wellbeing of our Clients and wider communities through meaningful social interaction.

That’s why many of our offices host special events and run community engagement initiatives throughout the year, helping to reduce loneliness and isolation.

In 2025, Right at Home Chippenham kicked things off with the launch of a year-long fitness challenge. Over 50 Clients living across Wiltshire signed up to the initiative, including older adults and people with disabilities.

In Grantham, Franchise Owner Anand Parekh and his team continued to deliver chair yoga sessions twice a month to older adults managing arthritis, limited mobility, and recovery from illness, as well as those seeking relief from loneliness, anxiety, or low mood.

Many attendees are referred by local social prescribers and community teams, who often attend alongside their Clients.

“The response has been incredible,” Anand shares. “We’re hearing from people who’ve regained confidence in their movement, built new friendships, and even changed the way they think about ageing. One Client recently said, ‘It’s the best I’ve felt in years.’”

Meanwhile in Right at Home Salisbury & Andover, a therapy dog named Lola was appointed to the team to make a positive difference to lonely and elderly individuals.

The working cocker spaniel regularly joins Registered Manager Claire in attending dementia cafes, lunch clubs and day centres, bringing joy to local residents.

Awards success

Right at Home UK is proud to have been awarded a number of prestigious awards in 2025. One of our biggest achievements was being crowned European Franchisor of the Year 2025 at the prestigious European Franchise Awards in Brussels.

Our network was presented with the Gold Award in the ‘Franchisor of the Year’ category, standing out among leading brands from across the continent.

Another incredible highlight was being named one of the Top 20 Home Care Groups in the UK by homecare.co.uk - the country’s leading independent review website for the homecare sector.

This recognition is based entirely on the voices of the people who matter most – our Clients, their friends, and their families. With an exceptional 9.8/10 recommendation score and over 4,000 verified reviews, we’re proud to continue setting the benchmark for quality, reliability, and trust in homecare.

Many of our local offices also received prestigious accolades this year, including Right at Home Isle of Wight, whose Owners, Vicky and Paul Butler, received the Community Impact Award from the BFA HSBC British Franchise Awards, beating strong competition from a range of sectors.

Vicky and Paul are known across the network for their dedication to community engagement, regularly motivating their peers through the success of their events.

Also this year, Right at Home Bridgend & Vale of Glamorgan achieved remarkable success at the Great British Care Awards 2025, taking home two awards for its exceptional palliative care service and commitment to creating a positive workplace environment.

Charity partnership

In April, Right at Home UK announced a new partnership with Dementia Adventure, a charity that supports people living with dementia and their carers to connect with the great outdoors through holidays and excursions.

To mark the launch, we introduced the Big Green Picnic, a nationwide campaign that saw dozens of Right at Home offices hosting dementia-inclusive events throughout the summer.

The picnic was piloted in May, when Right at Home Stevenage, Bishop’s Stortford & Braintree laid on an afternoon of sensory activities, live music and flower arranging.

This was followed by garden gatherings and beach barbeques held across the country, from Cheshire to Bournemouth and several towns and cities in between.

Aside from the Big Green Picnic, Right at Home care teams have been going above and beyond to support the charity this year, through local fundraising efforts.

In Ilkley, Keighley & Skipton, the team took on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge, raising over £1,000. Meanwhile, in Guildford & Farnham, care professionals completed a fire walk, raising over £2,500.

And Right at Home UK’s annual charity golf day, held at Sandwell Park in Bromwich, saw more than £6,000 raised throughout the day, with golfing experiences sold at auction.

Standing up for social care

One of our driving missions at Right at Home UK is to shape a better future for the social care sector, ensuring that as many people as possible receive the quality care they need and deserve.

At the start of the year, our CEO, Lucy Campbell, made several media appearances to shine a spotlight on the challenges felt most acutely by local authority-funded providers.

These challenges include decades of underfunding, which has led to 2.6 million people waiting for critical care packages.

Lucy began her string of media appearances by speaking with Clive Bull on LBC Radio and was subsequently interviewed by BBC Radio, reaching audiences across Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Somerset and Bristol.

She was later joined by Grant Attwood, Managing Director of Right at Home North Somerset, for a live television interview with GB News.

During these discussions, Lucy addressed the true costs of delivering quality care, the implications of the Spring budget announcements and the necessary actions required to address key issues facing the homecare sector.

Also in 2025, Right at Home joined dozens of care providers in voicing a collective call for social care reform.

We descended on Westminster and Liverpool for two peaceful rallies organised by Providers Unite, a grassroots coalition initiated by Nadra Ahmed CBE and the National Care Association (NCA).

The aim was to highlight the vital importance of social care and to give those delivering and receiving care a voice to express their views and concerns.

Inspiring events

As with every year, 2025 saw Right at Home UK host a string of inspiring events for our network.

These included our Annual Conference and Registered Managers Conference, which brought together Franchise Owners and Managers for two days of practical workshops, compelling talks from influential speakers and valuable networking opportunities.

We also held our third annual Women in Business event in March, giving female franchisees the opportunity to connect with their peers whilst enjoying an empowering and thought-provoking itinerary that touched on many aspects of being a woman in business.

New for 2025 was the first-ever Right at Home CareGivers Conference.

The event, organised by Right at Home Bournemouth & Poole, took place in the New Forest in March and was attended by Carers from our southern offices.

It was believed to be the first conference in the UK to be curated exclusively for frontline social care staff.

The aim was to recognise the vital contributions of care professionals and drive excellence in community care provision by upskilling attendees in specialist services.

Thank you to every one of our Clients, their loved ones, our team members and those in our local communities. We're so proud to have spent another phenomenal year making a meaningful difference to those we support. We're already excited to see what 2026 brings and look forward to you joining us on this journey.
