Dementia-friendly musical show returns to Farnham Maltings

Tickets are now on sale for Musical Memories, an annual dementia-friendly concert hosted by local home care providers Right at Home GF. This year’s show takes place on Saturday 25 October from 2–4pm at Farnham Maltings.
This uplifting afternoon promises a fun trip down memory lane with the ladies' acapella group In Accord performing classic hits from the 1950s through to the 1980s. There promises to be music for everyone to enjoy, and carers can also relax knowing the concert will offer a safe and supportive environment for all.
“Music has a unique ability to unlock memories and bring joy,” says Liz Young, Head of Marketing and Recruitment at Right at Home GF. “We often see people living with dementia responding positively when they hear familiar tunes. Musical Memories creates a special space where both they and their carers can simply enjoy the moment.”
Tickets are £15 (accompanying carers go free) and include coffee and the Maltings’ delicious cake! Money raised at this annual fundraiser will support 15 community events and groups run by Right at Home GF. This includes Sunflower Cafes and Singing for the Mind, Inclusive Cricket and Love to Move groups across Guildford, Farnham, Fleet, Frimley and Sunbury.
