24 Hours of Determination for a Worthy Cause
There were tired legs, plenty of determination and an overwhelming sense of teamwork as Right at Home Guildford & Farnham successfully completed Endure 24 : a 24-hour continuous fundraising challenge in support of Dementia Adventure. From 2pm on Thursday 10th July until 2pm on Friday 11th July, members of the office team and Carers kept two treadmills and an exercise bike moving without a single break, raising an incredible £5,000+ for Right at Home UK's charity partner for the second consecutive year.
Throughout the challenge, at least two team members were exercising at any one time and every mile walked, jogged or cycled helped push the fundraising total higher - with donations continuing to come in as supporters followed the team's progress.
Celebrating Together
The challenge came to a close during our annual Family Fun Day, making the finish line feel even more special. As we completed the final miles, we all came together to celebrate the achievement with a fun-filled afternoon.
The event featured a delicious BBQ, with plenty of food, garden games, space hoppers, glitter tattoos and, of course, a bouncy castle. Unsurprisingly, the bouncy castle proved to be a firm favourite with children and adults alike, with plenty of laughter as everyone embraced the opportunity to let loose after the challenge.
The Family Fun Day was the perfect way to celebrate not only the fundraising success but also the people behind it. It highlighted the team spirit within Right at Home Guildford & Farnham and gave everyone the chance to have fun in the sun together after an incredible 24 hours of determination and teamwork.
“Seeing the challenge take place and watching so many of our Carers and office team get involved was phenomenal. Seeing the fundraising total keep climbing throughout the 24 hours made me so happy. Last year's Fire Walk was fantastic and we thought it would be hard to beat, but this has definitely become our best fundraising event to date. We're already planning what we can do next year.”
