Home care provider Right at Home GF has received a 5-star employer award for being a great place to work.
In an anonymised satisfaction survey carried out by an independent research company, 42 of Right at Home GF’s clients and 85 caregivers were surveyed.
Highlights from the report include 99% of caregivers agreeing that they are clear about what is expected of them in their role and 9.9 out of ten saying they have access to the training they need to do their job. Ninety-four per cent are proud to work for Right at Home.
Alastair Shanks, Managing Director for Right at Home GF says: “Caregivers are in demand, so we have always worked hard to attract and retain the best by ensuring our team is looked after and that everybody feels valued. The results of this survey give an invaluable insight into the experience of our employees and those who we support, and highlights what we are doing well and where we can improve further.”
Feedback from clients showed that 100% agreed that their caregivers treated them with dignity and respect, 98% said the care and support they receive allows them to be as independent as possible and 95% said their caregiver makes them feel safe when they visit.
Alastair Shanks adds: “When I first became a Right at Home franchise owner some 13 years ago, it was my aim to become a trusted home care provider who helps people to live life on their own terms and in their own homes regardless of their age or capabilities. The annual national client satisfaction survey helps us to see how we are doing and this year, Right at Home GF was one of just 38 branches to receive a 5-star rating which makes me feel very proud.”
As well as earning a reputation for being a 5-star employer, Right at Home GF is also committed to being socially responsible and giving back to the local community. This involves providing a variety of activities for people living with dementia and their carers such as the Sunflower Café at Farnham Methodist Church and the United Reformed Church (URC) Guildford, Singing for the Mind at the Farnham Maltings and URC Guildford, Inclusive Cricket at Farnham Leisure Centre and Love to Move at Brightwells Gostrey Centre.
